FIRST WORKING DAY

Yesterday, we began our practical work mission on Yesler swamp------ REMOVING the invasive plants which are blackberry and English ivy. Frankly, the process is not enjoyable and needs patience since there are thorns everywhere on the stem of ivy that you can easily be stabbed and some roots are very deep that you need to dig a large hole to pull the whole root system out.

Even though the removing work is tough with raining and we all got dirty and muddy, after three-hour work, there is a clear change on our site. And we have our first volunteer coming to help us! We believe everything is getting better and better!!
